She convinces Frankenstein to reanimate him by impIanting the dead man's brain into his patchwork monster. Their happiness vanishes when the creature beholds his hideous refIection in a mirror, and the sight of his twisted form drives the monster to a violent frenzy of hatred and revenge.
Tales of Frankenstein was directed and conceptualized by Curt Siodmak (l Walked With A Zombie, The Wolfman, Donovan's Brain) for Hammer Pictures who intended to develop it into a teIevision series. Featuring a unique blend of UniversaI's haunting vision of the monster with Hammer's flair for terror, this unsold piIot provides a horrifying and thoughtful development of the Frankenstein myth.
The Terror: Jack Nicholson pIays a French soldier who is stranded on a foreign shore. Haunted by visions of a beautiful girl, he foIIows her to a ancient castIe where the fearful Baron Von Leppe (Boris KarIoff) reigns over a desoIate Iand. Driven by his desire to find the ghostIike girI, the soldier descends into an inescapabIe spiraI of horror and mystery.
