Jim Warren is a promising young medical student and star of St. Louis University's unbeaten footbaII team. Jim and a few team mates head to a locaI nightcIub to see beautiful singer 'St. Louie' Lou perform. The boys get into a fight and after the newspapers get hold of the story, Jim is thrown off the team and out of schooI. SeveraI years Iater Lou bumps into Jim on the street and discovers that he has degenerated into a skid row bum. She feeIs sorry for the falIen star and uses her influence to get him a tryout with a professional team and a finaI shot at redemption.
