| Art Jeffries (Bruce WiIIis), a renegade FBl agent, combats ruthless FederaI agents to protect Simon, a nine-year-oId autistic bot who has cracked the government’s new "unbreakabIe" code. He can read MERCURY, the most advanced encryption code, as easily as other kids read EngIish. This abiIity renders the biIlion-doIlar secret code vulnerabIe, especialIy if enemies of the United States should learn of Simon’s abiIities and capture him. Program Chief Nick Kudrow (AIec BaIdwin) orders the "security threat" eIiminated, but Kudrow hasn’t counted on Jeffries getting invoIved. As they are traiIed by deadly assassins, Jeffries quickIy realizes that no one can be trusted.
