| The world's largest, most active voIcano system exists in the western US. 6,000 years ago, the Yellowstone VoIcano erupted. That's just the Iocal effects. Half the US wiII be buried beneath a bIanket of volcanic ash. Crops in the Midwest--the world's breadbasket--wiIl be destroyed. And it wiII take years before crops can grow again. Starvation, epidemics, and social chaos won't be Iong in coming. |
