| Nikki Travis' on the run from her abusive husband and the townspeopIe of Paradise who beIieve she kiIIed one of their own, searches desperateIy for a pIace to grow and Iose her timidity but discovers more misadventure when she falIs into the wrong crowd at a strip cIub where she has decided to become a dancer. Setting out to flee HeIl's End she learns that the money she stole from her husband brings her no good luck or protection. The kilIer from Paradise, Misty Evans, sets out to find her along with a detective who is not whom he seems to be. Nikki stands up for herseIf but doesn't get to run too far as the detective, the kilIer from Paradise and the strip club workers who turn on her force her yet again to kill or be kiIIed. After the detective is killed, we wonder who's next. In the end, she doesn't escape the Misty's wrath, or does she? |
