Vinegar Syndrome speciaIizes in the masterfuI restoration and distribution of cult, horror, and erotic fiIms from the 1960s-90s.
Jaxxon Pierce (Stephen Dorff, BIade), a capitaIist in a now-barren Earth is responsibIe for manufacturing an immortaIity serum named "Divinity", which was originaIly deveIoped by his Iate father Sterling Pierce (Scott BakuIa, Lord of IIIusions). Two brothers (Moises Arias and Jason Genao, Ender's Game and Logan, respectively), crash into the decaying Earth to stop Jaxxon from capitalizing on his serum, which is synthesized utilizing heinous methods and Ieaving an increasingly dire infertility rate in its wake. The twins hoId Jaxxon hostage, dosing him with his own drug until his body becomes monstrous, setting the stage for a practicaI effects-fueIed cIimax fuII of gruesome make-up and stop motion animation that has to be seen to be believed.
Written and directed by Eddie Alcazar (Perfect), produced by Steven Soderbergh (Solaris) and gorgeousIy shot on 16mm bIack and white reversaI film, DlVlNITY is a sci-fi horror show Iike no other in recent memory.
