Crime rates sky rocket, and powerful forces attempt to seize control, imposing martial law to avoid further breakdown.
Amidst the chaos, Lucien's tightly organized world quickly unravels, allowing a predatory enemy to dog him at every step. Why is this enemy so bent on destroying him? Will the shimmering help or hinder him?
As time runs out, Lucien's quest to understand his enemy transforms into an exploration of himself. He unearths old traumas and suffers new wounds before facing the ultimate choice: surrender to the shimmering or lose everything that truly matters. |
