Posthumous Accolades is a fictional dramatic hilarious comedy about a very wealthy 60 year old man, named Nigel Scratford, who finds an opportunity to fake his death after surviving an explosion which resulted in a horrific building fire. His purpose is to expose each family member's genuine feelings & opinions of him. Only a few trusted people know he's alive. Searching for his supposed remains takes time. His family who believes he died in the fire proceeds with a mock funeral service using a mannequin wearing a mask, bearing an incredible likeness, in his place. Attending his own funeral he switches places with the mannequin in the casket during separate family-only visiting hours to witness his family's private confessions, first hand, which they were required to do to comply with the request from his Last Will and Testament, or they forfeited their portion of a huge inheritance. Lots of dramatic and comical situations arise throughout the story with his plan, and his dysfunctional and snobby family, resulting in the total revamping of his Will, and the exposure of all his family's closely guarded secrets! After reading this book I'm sure it will make every reader think twice and do a double take inside at the contents at every open casket funeral they attend! |
