| This work provides cutting edge insight into the dynamics , challenges and opportunities present in development agencies commonly referred to as Non Governmental Organisations. This evidence informed study , is especially motivated by the need to inspire and infuse tried and tested corporate governance tenets into such organisations. Communities often struggle to sustain themselves and their exposure to the vagaries of political and socio-economic adversities put them on the negative side of development.
