Not all women could afford the class of the Courtesan. This game is about these unfortunates. Struggling to survive by whoring, thieving and even killing they are constantly at odds with the state, the church and society at large. Ironically it is the money extorted out of their Bawds that BUILT society at large. Doxy is the most traditional of the History Farce games with a full Combat system as well as variations on the evocative mental and social mechanics of the other two games but it is also the least forgiving and most startlingly fatalistic.
