| Christie has her life turned upside down when her early arrival from holiday reveals her fiancé's betrayal. As she flees, Christie is involved in a car accident, and her hospitalisation begins her association with Dr Nate McDonald. As the friendship morphs into a romance, Nate's assistant aims to discredit Christie and finds the perfect way to cause problems between the couple.
When the police become involved, Nate charges Christie with theft, shattering their fragile relationship. Christie's uncle organises a solicitor, and Lindsay Kellerman comes to her rescue. Once Kell and Christie uncover the real thief, Christie goes home to spend time with her family.
Aware that she can't remain at Thornton Downs forever, Christie accepts an internship at a sheep property in the small town of Malkanya. When Nate's housekeeper calls Christie beginning for help, Christie returns to offer assistance. The problems that assailed Nate, Christie and Mrs Hunter are resolved, hoping everyone can move forward.
Kell's interference prompts Nate to attempt a reconciliation with Christie. Their move to the country should solve their problems, but Nate has issues he refuses to discuss with Christie, and the fragile truce shatters. Christie ends the relationship and attempts to go on with her new venture.
Is the relationship finished for good, or could a tragedy bring them back together? Will Christie put her heart on the line again, or is the pain of losing Nate again too much? |
